Promus Ventures Welcomes Maria Portoles to Team as Principal

We are excited to continue growing the Promus Ventures family and today welcome Maria Portoles to our investment team. Maria is joining us as a Principal in Luxembourg.

Maria is an experienced VC investor having spent a number of years as an investment professional at Innocells, Banco Sabadell’s VC fund, based in Madrid and focusing primarily on Fintech.

Maria has also been running her own angel syndicate where she has backed a dozen emerging start-ups globally across fintech, proptech, consumer internet and energy. Maria’s portfolio include Atani (crypto platform), Insurdata (P&C Insurance analytics), Corlytics (regulatory risk intelligence), Howsy (property lettings marketplace), Solatom (solar steam for industrial processes) to name but a few.

Maria is passionate about technologies that have a concrete impact on the real world and partnering with founding teams in achieving their vision. On the personal side, Maria hails from beautiful and sunny Valencia in Southeastern Spain and despite her seaside upbringing is a consummate skier and traveler who’s always a short ride away from the slopes.
